Sephonie von Analgesic Productions ist ein story-lastiger 3D-Plattformer von den Machern von Anodyne und Even the Ocean. Zusammen mit meinen Kollegen von den Warlocs habe ich einen Teil zur deutschen Übersetzung beigetragen.
Story
„In naher Zukunft sind drei Biologen mit ihren hochmodernen ONYX-Implantaten auf einer gemeinsamen Expedition, um die Kreaturen der unbewohnten Insel Sephonie zu erforschen. Aber als sie sich der Insel nähern, bricht plötzlich ein Sturm aus.
Amy Lim, eine mutige, taiwanisch-amerikanische Teamleiterin, die aus der mittelwestlichen Stadt Bloomington in den USA stammt. Riyou Hayashi, ein analytisch denkender Forscher mit japanisch-taiwanischen Wurzeln aus Tokio. Und Ing-wen Lin, eine mitfühlende Wissenschaftlerin aus Taipei, Taiwan.
In den Höhlen Sephonies werden die Motivationen und Loyalitäten des Trios auf die Probe gestellt, nicht nur physisch, sondern auch durch Träume ihrer tiefsten Erinnerungen. Während sie sich und der Insel immer näherkommen, bedroht eine antike Macht, tief im Innern Sephonies, ihre neuen Freundschaften und die gesamte Welt…“

Sephonie by Analgesic Productions is a story-based 3D platformer from the makers of Anodyne and Even the Ocean. Together with my colleagues from the Warlocs, I contributed a part to the German translation.
Story
“In the near future, three biologists are on a joint mission to use their state-of-the-art ONYX implants to research the creatures of the uninhabited Sephonie Island. But as they approach the island, a sudden storm leaves them shipwrecked.
Amy Lim, Taiwanese-American and bold leader, hails from the midwestern USA town of Bloomington. Riyou Hayashi, an analytically-minded Japanese-Taiwanese researcher, calls the bustling Tokyo his home. And Ing-wen Lin, a kind and considerate Taiwanese scientist, lives in Taipei.
The trio will find their motivations and loyalties put to the test as they navigate Sephonie’s caverns, facing not only physical challenges but also their deepest memories and dreams. As they grow more intimate with each other and the island, an ancient force, brewing deep in the island’s abyss, may threaten their newfound relationship, and the world…”
