Arctic Awakening von GoldFire Studios ist ein narratives Abenteuer aus der Ich-Perspektive, das im mysteriösen arktischen Norden spielt. Dort musst du zusammen mit deinem Roboter-Begleiter Alfie nach deinem Co-Piloten suchen und die Geheimnisse lüften, die an jeder Ecke lauern.
Das Spiel ist ab sofort für Steam, Xbox und PlayStation 5 erhältlich und enthält meine deutsche Textübersetzung.
Story
„Es hätte ein Routineflug werden sollen. Ein Abwurf von Vorräten in einer Stadt in Alaska. Autopilot an, Vorsicht aus. Donovan und du planten bereits, nach der Mission etwas zu trinken zu gehen, als es passierte.
Der Sturm.
Blitzschnell war das halbe Flugzeug weg. Donovan war verschwunden, verloren im heulenden Sturm. Als du nach dem Absturz aufwachst, bist du allein, gefangen in einer eisigen Wildnis, deine einzigen Begleiter sind ein vom Gericht angeordneter Therapie-Roboter und Temperaturen, die einen Menschen regelrecht verschlingen können. Die einzige Hoffnung auf Überleben besteht darin, deinen Freund zu finden und vielleicht einen Weg nach Hause.
Du bist Kai, ein Pilot ohne Flugzeug, der in der Wildnis des hohen Nordens verloren ist. Du musst deinen Verstand einsetzen, um den Elementen zu trotzen, deinen Co-Piloten zu finden und zum Teufel noch mal zu verschwinden. Unterwegs findest du vielleicht heraus, was dein Flugzeug in zwei Teile geteilt hat … und was dieses Geräusch nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit verursacht.“

Story
“It was supposed to be routine. A supply drop to an Alaskan town, auto-pilot on, guard down. You and Donovan were already planning post mission drinks when it happened.
The storm.
Half the plane disappeared in a flash. Donovan was gone, lost to the howling tempest. Waking from the crash, you find yourself alone, trapped in a frozen wilderness, your only companions a court-mandated therapy bot and temperatures that can cut a man to shreds. Hope for survival lies in finding your friend and maybe a way home.
You are Kai, a pilot without a plane, lost in the wilderness of the far north. You’ll need your wits about you to brave the elements, find your co-pilot and get the hell out of Dodge. Along the way, you might just discover what it was that cut your plane clean in two… and what it is making those noises after dark.”
